Final classifications of the 2026 Tour de France Femmes: Vollering, Wiebes, Pieterse and Niedermaier take the jerseys

It was anything but a straightforward road to yellow for Demi Vollering. The Dutchwoman started as one of the major favourites, but the race changed hands several times before eventually coming down to another showdown with Kasia Niewiadoma.

Marlen Reusser took control of the general classification with victory in the stage 4 time trial, while Vollering moved closer with her first stage win a day later. The real shake up came on Mont Ventoux, where Niewiadoma produced one of the rides of the race. She attacked with almost 10km remaining and put 1:16 into Vollering, enough to take yellow with a 15 second advantage.

Twenty four hours later, the situation had flipped again. Vollering attacked on the steep roads above Nice with 6.5km remaining on stage 8 and reached the finish 17 seconds ahead of Niewiadoma. With the time bonus included, she turned her 15 second deficit into an eight second lead ahead of the final day.

Niewiadoma tried repeatedly to dislodge her on the final ascent of the Col d’Èze, but Vollering never looked in serious trouble. Instead, she delivered the decisive blow herself near the summit and rode the final 15.5km alone to Nice.

The stage win was her third of the race and sealed a second Tour de France Femmes title, as well as the Giro and Tour double in the same season. Niewiadoma finished second overall at 1:18, with Elisa Longo Borghini completing the podium at 4:29.

The green jersey was a much more controlled affair. Lorena Wiebes laid the foundations for her victory immediately, winning each of the opening two stages and collecting a heavy haul of points before the race reached the harder terrain.

Once the road started heading upwards, the opportunities for Wiebes naturally became more limited, while main competitors Vollering and Lotte Kopecky continued to collect points elsewhere. Even so, the cushion built during the opening days proved large enough.

Wiebes made sure there would be no late surprise by picking up another 17 points at the intermediate sprint on the final stage in Nice. With Vollering missing out there, the green jersey was effectively decided.

It is a second consecutive Tour de France Femmes points classification victory for Wiebes after she also took green in 2025.

Puck Pieterse may not have found the stage victory she was looking for, but she rarely let an opportunity for mountain points pass her by.

The Dutchwoman began building her advantage early in the race, repeatedly picking up points on the smaller climbs and establishing herself at the head of the mountains classification before the biggest ascents had even arrived. By the middle of the Tour, what had initially appeared to be a secondary objective had developed into a very realistic shot at the polka dot jersey.

Pieterse continued to add to her tally as the race moved south and carried a commanding lead into the final weekend. By stage 8 she had 55 points, more than twice the total of her nearest rival, leaving the competition effectively settled before the final day around Nice.

She safely reached the finish to secure her first mountains classification victory at the Tour de France Femmes.

Antonia Niedermaier arrived at the Tour as one of several riders capable of fighting for white, but by the second half of the race she had also become a factor much higher up the general classification.

The German moved into the white jersey during stage 5 and steadily strengthened her position from there. Rather than simply protecting her advantage among the young riders, Niedermaier remained with the main GC contenders through the hardest stages and played an important supporting role for Niewiadoma.

She entered the final stage with Paula Blasi still within striking distance, but another strong performance around Nice ended any remaining doubt. Niedermaier finished the Tour fourth overall, just 41 seconds away from the final podium, while Blasi took fifth.

That was more than enough to secure the white jersey, with Niedermaier finishing 1:03 ahead of Blasi in the youth classification.
