Vuelta a España 2025: Standings after stage 20 - Vingegaard reigns in red

Stage 20 was the penultimate stage before the last dance of the 2025 edition of Vuelta a España around Madrid with a summit finish on the Bola del Mundo.

Jonas Vingegaard (Visma | Lease a Bike) secured his third grand tour of his career after a spectacular attack on the Bola del Mundo, to win solo. The Dane holds an immoveable margin of 1:16 over Joao Almeida (Team UAE Emirates - XRG) with a stage remaining.

Tom Pidcock (Q36.5) held on to his podium position after defending it spectacularly to thwart the charge of Jai Hindley (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe).

Jay Vine (UAE Team Emirates - XRG) became the first rider to mathematically secure a jersey at the 2025 Vuelta a España, as long he finishes, taking home the polka-dot jersey with the Aussie's advantage over the Jonas Vingegaard, in second, unable to be close the advantage in the remaining stage.
