My first memories of cycling are watching my brother race junior time trials round the south of England, then, later, I’d send him daily Tour de France reports when he was working overseas. After a career in the public sector, in 2014 I began writing about cycling, working for many leading English language publications and specialising mainly in women’s professional racing. I’ve been lucky enough to cover hundreds of races on the ground all over Europe and the Middle East. When I’m not sat behind a screen or watching the sport for pure pleasure, you can find me riding my own bike or tapping out a rhythm on my drums.
