Route
The O Gran Camiño opens with a short individual time trial in A Coruña, offering an early test for the general classification. Rolling terrain defines stage two, while stage three adds more climbing but leaves room for aggressive racing. The decisive action comes in stage four with a demanding summit finish. The race concludes on Monte Trega, where steep gradients and rough surfaces create a selective finale suited to explosive climbers.
Favourites
Several strong names stand out for the 2026 edition of O Gran Camiño, even if some WorldTeams arrive with a younger setup. Adam Yates looks like the main reference for the general classification at UAE Team Emirates-XRG, with Kevin Vermaerke in support. At Team Visma | Lease a Bike, much of the attention goes to Jørgen Nordhagen, who gets the chance to ride for himself.
Behind them, there are several riders who could move into contention. Alessandro Pinarello and George Bennett bring both form and experience, while Movistar Team lines up with Davide Formolo and Ivan Romeo. In the mountains, riders such as Abel Balderstone, Jesús Herrada and Iván Sosa could also play a role if the race opens up.
