The 2025 UEC European Championships Elite Men’s Road Race will be held on Sunday, 5 October, with 128 riders from 34 nations lining up in Privas, France. A star-studded field is set to compete for the title, with newly crowned double world champion Tadej Pogačar facing his Grand Tour rival Jonas Vingegaard in a one-day race for the first time since 2022. Remco Evenepoel will also be looking to play his part in the battle for victory.

At the European Championships, the size of each nation’s team is determined by its position in the UCI rankings. The top five nations can field eight riders, those ranked sixth to tenth may line up six, nations placed eleventh to twentieth are allowed four, and those between twenty-first and fortieth can bring two.
Countries ranked forty-first to fiftieth are represented by just a single rider. In total, 128 riders will take the start in Privas.
