The final stage of 129.2 km around Nice still offers opportunities to attack. The Col de la Porte and Côte de Châteauneuf Villevieille soften the field before the final climb of the Côte du Linguador. With steep gradients and the summit less than twenty kilometres from the finish, the race could still change hands before the overall winner of Paris Nice is crowned on the Promenade in Nice.
