The 2026 route covers 202.1 kilometres and features 29 ribinoù sectors totalling 34 kilometres of unpaved terrain. The race travels as far south as Pointe Saint-Mathieu to tackle the rocky 2,300-metre Keryel sector before heading north to Porspoder to debut the new 1,600-metre Messoudal'ch track.
The finale centres on two technical loops around Lannilis, where riders face the punishing Kerdraon sector and the legendary passage through the grounds of the Château de Kerouartz. With rain forecast for this edition, these coastal farm tracks and forest paths are expected to transform into a muddy war of attrition before the finish in the heart of Lannilis.
Favourites
The 2026 Tro-Bro Léon features a high-calibre field led by defending champion Bastien Tronchon, who returns, not with Decathlon CMA CGM, but with Groupama-FDJ United.
He is joined by top-tier classics specialists, including Benoît Cosnefroy, local hero Valentin Madouas, and the consistent Pierre Gautherat, who has stood on the podium in the last two editions.
Other significant threats for the victory include cyclocross expert and former podium finisher Clément Venturini, fellow cyclocross star Quinten Hermans, British rider Fred Wright, and the former French champion Paul Lapeira, all of whom are well-equipped to handle the technical and potentially muddy ribinoù.
