Demi Vollering took the yellow jersey at the Tour de France Femmes after a decisive late attack secured her victory on stage 8 in Nice. She finished 17 seconds ahead of Kasia Niewiadoma and Elisa Longo Borghini, overturning Niewiadoma’s lead in the general classification. Vollering now leads Niewiadoma by eight seconds heading into Sunday’s final stage around Nice.
