Jonas Vingegaard successfully defended his overall lead at the Volta a Catalunya, controlling repeated attacks on the explosive Montjuïc circuit in Barcelona. In a chaotic and aggressive final stage, Brady Gilmore emerged from the bunch to win the sprint ahead of Dorian Godon and Remco Evenepoel. The Danish rider capped a dominant week by securing his second WorldTour stage race victory of the season.
