Defending champion Mathieu van der Poel (Alpecin-Premier Tech) will not be on the start line, but his long time rival Wout van Aert (Team Visma | Lease a Bike) will. He is backed by his strong teammate Per Strand Hagenes.
Other riders to watch include Jordi Meeus, Gianni Vermeersch and Arne Marit of Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe, Matevž Govekar (Bahrain Victorious), Tomáš Kopecký (Unibet Tietema Rockets) and Milan Menten (Lotto).
