Anna van der Breggen claimed a hard-fought victory on the steep finish to Les Praeres, taking her first win since last year’s La Vuelta Femenina. The SD Worx-Protime rider distanced Paula Blasi in the final kilometres and moved into the overall lead, 18 seconds ahead of the UAE Team ADQ rider. With the final stage finishing atop the Angliru, the battle for the red jersey is still far from over.
