The final stage covers 142 km and traditionally ends with a sprint in San Benedetto del Tronto. After a relatively calm start, the final eighty kilometres take place on a finishing circuit that the riders complete five times. The flat coastal roads favour the sprinters, while the general classification riders focus on staying safe. With wide roads and fast corners in the final kilometres, the race is expected to conclude with a high speed bunch sprint.
