Olav Kooij won a chaotic opening stage at the Tour de Pologne after a perfectly timed sprint in Legnica. His Visma | Lease a Bike team controlled the day alongside Soudal-Quickstep, reeling in the breakaway with ease. Tim Torn Teutenberg launched early, but Kooij waited patiently and surged past in the final 150 metres. Paul Magnier and Jenson Plowright completed the podium.
