Romain Grégoire won stage 2 of the Tour de Suisse from the remnants of a 14 rider breakaway. Tadej Pogačar attacked late with Mathias Vacek and came within seconds of catching the leaders, but finished eighth. Pogačar retained the yellow jersey with a 2:50 lead over Richard Carapaz.
