Tadej Pogačar won the opening stage of the 2026 Tour de Suisse after launching a devastating solo attack with 69 kilometres remaining. The world champion finished more than two minutes ahead of Richard Carapaz, while the next group of overall contenders lost over four minutes. The dominant display gave Pogačar a commanding race lead and underlined his form ahead of the Tour de France.
