Cyclassics Hamburg 2026 start list - Milan, De Lie, Del Toro and defending champion Townsend headline field
All 18 UCI WorldTour teams will line up in Hamburg on Sunday, August 16, with Milan returning to action as one of the leading favourites for the German one day classic

The 2026 Cyclassics Hamburg will welcome a 22-team field to the start line on Sunday, with all 18 UCI WorldTour squads joined by four UCI ProTeams: Tudor Pro Cycling Team, TotalEnergies, Unibet Rose Rockets and Cofidis.
The peloton will be chasing the title won last year by Rory Townsend, who delivered Unibet Rose Rockets a memorable victory in the 2025 edition.
Traditionally a race for fast finishers with the strength to handle repeated ascents of the Waseberg, the Hamburg one-day classic once again brings together a strong mix of sprinters and puncheurs. Jonathan Milan (Lidl-Trek) leads the list of contenders as he returns to racing following his three stage wins at the Tour de Pologne.
Paul Magnier (Soudal Quick-Step), Arnaud De Lie (Lotto-Intermarché), Jasper Stuyven (Soudal Quick-Step) and John Degenkolb (Team Picnic PostNL) are among the other notable names expected to challenge, while Townsend returns with the number one on his back after sealing last year’s victory with a late attack.
