Mauro Schmid won stage 13 of the Tour de France in Belfort by beating Harold Tejada in a sprint after a long breakaway. Tom Pidcock finished third and gained significant time in the general classification, as the breakaway crossed the line almost eight minutes ahead of the peloton. Tadej Pogacar retained the yellow jersey ahead of the tough stage to Le Markstein.
