Tadej Pogačar won stage 3 of the Tour de France in Les Angles with a sharp uphill sprint, beating Jonas Vingegaard and Richard Carapaz to take both the stage win and the yellow jersey. A strong 18 rider breakaway shaped the day, with Alex Baudin the last survivor before being caught after securing the polka dot jersey. In the finale, UAE Team Emirates-XRG set up Pogačar’s decisive sprint, giving him enough time to move ahead of Vingegaard overall.
