Jonas Vingegaard took the first yellow jersey of the 2026 Tour de France after leading Visma | Lease a Bike to victory in the opening team time trial in Barcelona. Visma’s strategy paid off on the final climb to Montjuïc, where Vingegaard surged clear to beat Filippo Ganna’s Netcompany-Ineos by seven seconds. Tadej Pogačar and UAE Team Emirates-XRG finished third, 11 seconds down, while Remco Evenepoel’s Red Bull squad placed fifth at 18 seconds.
