Jonas Vingegaard sealed overall victory at the Giro d’Italia with a dominant fifth stage win on Piancavallo, attacking with 10.6 kilometres to go and finishing 1:15 ahead of his closest rivals. Felix Gall confirmed second overall, with Jai Hindley completing the podium, while Thymen Arensman and Derek Gee rounded out the top five. Afonso Eulálio secured the white jersey after resisting Davide Piganzoli’s challenge and will carry the maglia bianca into Rome.
