Jhonatan Narváez won stage 4 of the Giro d’Italia in Cosenza, beating Orluis Aular and Giulio Ciccone in a sprint from a reduced peloton. Movistar controlled much of the final 50km after the Cozzo Tunno climb, where several sprinters and race leader Guillermo Thomas Silva were distanced. Ciccone’s third place was enough to move him into the Maglia Rosa for the first time.
