Paul Magnier won stage 3 of the Giro d’Italia in Sofia, edging Jonathan Milan and Dylan Groenewegen in a fast bunch sprint. The day’s breakaway of Diego Pablo Sevilla, Alessandro Tonelli and Manuele Tarozzi survived deep into the finale before being caught with just 400 metres remaining. Guillermo Thomas Silva finished safely in the peloton to keep the maglia rosa ahead of the Giro’s return to Italy.
